Pelling: A famous tourist destination of Sikkim
Tour of Sikkim consists of 2 parts…one is Gangtok tour and another one is Pelling tour. Pelling is situated at West Sikkim and has an altitude of 6800 ft. Pelling is higher than Gangtok and the view of Kanchanjangha(3rd highest peak of the world) from Pelling is much more better than that of Gangtok.
The distance of Pelling from Siliguri is 133 kms and from Gangtok, it is 125 kms. It will take nearly 5 hrs to reach Pelling from Siliguri. Pelling is a less crowded town. Upper pelling and lower Pelling are the two parts of the town Pelling. Lower Pelling is generally the marketplace and the resident place of local people. There are sevaral restaurents and hotels and one cyber cafe at Upper Pelling. There are a lot of travel agencies at upper Pelling, which conducts several tours from Pelling.
